Despite embarking on their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding result that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This match provided a platform for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second game in succession.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
